Oakwood Ballet - Ballet 2 Intro to Barre (Winter/Spring)

Oakwood Ballet
Ballet 2 (ages 7-8, with some experience)  

Designed for second grade students this course builds on our fundamental ballet foundation with the exciting addition of barre work: a milestone for any young dancer! We focus on a  deeper understanding of technique and self-expression development. The essential relationship of music to movement is explored in a variety of ways.

Dress Code: Pink footed tights, pastel blue round neck, short-sleeve leotard (Bloch # CL5402) pink leather ballet shoes. Hair is required to be in a bun.

Days:  Tuesdays 
Dates Spring Session: March 12, 2024 – April 30, 2024 (No lesson March 26, 2024 & April 2, 2024)
Time:  4:40 P.M. -5:45 P.M.
Fees:  $90 (M)*, $135 (NM), $180 (NR)

Important Dates:
Tuesday, February 13, 2024:  Measurement Day  (Costume Fee is Due)
Tuesday, April 30, 2024:  Spring Performance

Our last Open House of the season will be our Spring Performance!  
Students will have the opportunity to share their learning experiences in a fun format during their regularly scheduled day and time; no additional rehearsal time required.
 
Costumes: For this special occasion we will have costumes made for each dancer which are theirs to keep. Costume Fee: $20 cash or check payable to Camille Morris.

Miss Camille was a company member of American Ballet Theatre (NYC) and holds an MFA from New York University.  She is an ABT Certified Teacher in all levels and serves as a Teachers Training Course Examiner for the National Training Curriculum.
